E. Lee, the Texas and Arkansas Senators and Representatives in Congress, and to the Governors of Texas and Arkansas." Private W. H. Burges, Fourth Texas, and Captain A. C. Jones, Third Arkansas, being called upon, addressed the meeting in an appropriately eloquent and patriotic style. Their speeches were received with great applause and enthusiasm.
