Mayor's Court. --The cases brought to the notice of his Honor, on yesterday, involved no serious consequences, either to the criminals or the Commonwealth. Case of Jack, slave of J. M. Sheppard, for stealing an over-coat of J. H. Wilde, from Hobson's barber-shop, was continued until to-day. A young man, giving his name as Wm. H. Hill, having been arrested by order of the Mayor, on suspicion of purloining a number of drafts, and other valuable papers, in the State of Tennessee, was also sent to jail till this morning, for examination. Two or more bucolic individuals, who had fallen into the hands of the watch, because of the exhibition of tendencies common to such parties, were admonished and discharged.
