Burned to death.
--At a late hour last Tuesday night a negro girl about 14 years of age, named Martha, slave to Mr. Wm.
K, Sledd, was burned to death by her clothes accidentally taking fire.
Between the hours of 9 and 10 o'clock Martha went into the kitchen to go to bed, but instead of doing so the fire and fell asleep.
Some hours thereafter a gentleman on the promises heard her a creams for help, and, hastening to the kitchen, found her clothes in a Blanca, and she so badly burned that she died in a short time thereafter.
