--The vote here stands Breckinridge 593; Bell 567.--The county shows uniform gains for Breckinridge.
Raleigh, N. C., Nov. 6, 10 P. M. --The vote here is Bell 504; Breckinridge 160; Douglas 114.
Duplin county shows Breckinridge gains, and the State has, in all probability, gone for him.

Death from snake Bite.
--A correspondent of the Wilmington (N. C.) Journal, of the 14th inst., writing from Rockfish, Duplin county, says that on Saturday evening last while maddying the water in a small pond for fish, Mr. Franklin J. Dempsey was bitten by a snake and died in about 40 hours afterwards.
A sporting man named Matcus Cicero Stanley was arrested in New York on Wednesday night, by the order of Secretary Seward, on a charge of treason.
He was sent to Fort Lafayatte.
Mr. Scott Jones, a member of Col. Ashby's cavalry, was shot on Monday week, says the Charlestown (Va.) Free Press, by one of the Federal plunderers at Harper's Ferry.
He will recover.

North Carolina election. Raleigh, Nov. 6.
--The election returns come in slowly.
Turner, Conservative, is certainly elected over Arrington in the 5th district.
In the 3d district Leach leads McRae about 600, with Duplin and Sampson counties to hear from.
Leach is thought to be elected Sampson county reported as having given him a majority.
In the 2d district Yellowby carried Lenoir, Green, Pitt, and Wilson counties; Edgecourt and Halifax to hear from.
The contest is a close one.
In the 7th district Chatham and Moore counties have gone for Christian by three to one.
Christian thought to be elected over Ashe, late member.
Gilmer is elected in the 6th district.
