A Wanderer. --The city police yesterday caged Samuel Hill, a free negro, from Washington, D. C., for residing in this vicinage without proper authorize.

Lewis Turner was fined $15 for taking possession of P. S. Derbyshire's back while drunk, and breaking the glass of the same.--Thomas Groghan having been complained of by his wife for a beating administered, failed to respond according to the conditions of his recognizance, and it was declared forfeited. George Jordan, a Pennsylvania free negro, was put in the chain-gang, failing to give security to be of good behavior. The same disposition was made of Edward Walsh, charged with assaulting George Jordan. Samuel Hill, a free negro, from Washington, D. C., was committed to jail. John H. Hendren was required to give $150 security to keep the peace for interfering with citizens in the street while drunk. William Call was fined $1 for being drunk, and required to give $150 to keep the peace for resisting the officers.
