Shooting --On Friday last, Mr. Fendall Griffin, of Henrico county, exasperated at frequent depredations upon his property, and finding that neither persuasion nor threats were of any avail, tried what virtue there was in bird-shot, and, it is said, slightly wounded a soldier belonging to a battery near the city. The comrades of the soldier subsequently went to Mr. G.'s house and made violent threats of vengeance, but finally concluding that discretion was the better part of valor, retired without doing any harm. Mr. Griffin has given bail to appear before the April Court to answer any charge that may be brought against him.
