From the Northwest. --A gentleman who arrived in this city last night from Northwestern Virginia says that the Yankee General Averill is at Beverly, in Randolph county, with about 8,000 men. --From all the information our informant could gather with reference to their future operations it is their design to make a raid upon Staunton and the Central Railroad.
