Mississippi. --The Mississippian contains the following in reference to affairs in that quarter: Our special yesterday from Jackson indicated a movement on the part of the enemy of great importance. It seems that three army corps are to be concentrated at Shreveport, to operate against Kirby Smith and the Confederate forces belonging to the trans-Mississippi Department. This movement will relieve for a time the State of Mississippi. A garrison will be left at Vicksburg, and the State will not be overrun except by raids. If the people will attend to these, we will not suffer much more from the Yankees until the trans-Mississippi campaign shall have been concluded. The State of Alabama is not, we think, threatened at present, either from the direction of Mobile or Vicksburg.
