Correction. --In hurriedly writing down Mr. Hancock's statement of the skirmish at Vienna, we said that "Col. Gregg, with a detachment of cavalry, won't 45 miles down to the Potomac river." We should have said that he went with a detachment of 45 cavalry a few miles down to the Potomac. In another place the compositor made us say that a Northern soldier had his hand shot off; while the fact was that the unfortunate Hessian lost his head from the effect of the fire.
