Equitably Adjusted. --A white woman, called Sophronia Hill, was inducted into the presence of the Mayor yesterday, for committing a misdemeanor, the same consisting in her having hired a house to a slave named Charlotte, without the written consent of her owner. The practice being one very much indulged in by parties either ignorant or desirous to evade the law, the Mayor fined Miss Hill $20, and exacted security from her for her future good behavior.
