Much attention and curiosity are at present excited by the unexpected resignation of General Tochman, the commander of the "Polish Brigade." Being somewhat acquainted with the facts, aave to submit them to your readers, premising with a sketch of General Tochman's biography. Gen. Tochman is the nephew of the far famed Gen. Tochman is the nephew of the far famed General-in-Chief of the Polish army, John Skrzyneck, who in 1830-31 caused the Russian throne to totter to its very foundation.
