James P. Holcombe, Professor of Constitutional Law in the University of Virginia, has resigned his position in that institution and announced himself a candidate for the State Convention. Mrs. S. M. Walton, mother of Madame Lo Vert of Mobile, and an accomplished lady of the old Virginia school, died in Mobile last week. Mrs. J. Von Freeden and child, and J.
