At the last Corporation Court, held on Thursday, two whites, charged with felony, were that on to the Court, whilst Lucinda Washington, a free woman of color, was tried for grand and, being found was sentenced to the penitentiary for a term of five years.
Heavy firing was heard here in the direction of Culpeper C. H. for about half the day of Saturday.
Our scouts, just in, report that it grew out of rejoicing on the occasion of Grant being declared Commander-in-Chief of all their armies, with his headquarters with the Army of the Potomac.--Meade, they say, will still retain command of the Potomac army, subject
