A legion—Whitfield's regiment, John W. Whitfield, colonel; E. R. Hawkins, lieutenantcol-onel; John H. Broocks, major.
A legion—Waul's regiment, Thos. N. Waul, colonel; B. Timmons, lieutenant-colonel; Allen Cameron, major.
Also Parker's, Smith's and Weeks' cavalry battalions.
Some of these were in Brigadier-General Ross' command, and gained distinction in the service in Mississippi.
