Off for the Country. --An old woman named Betsy Williams was up yesterday, for annoying citizens about the Post Office by begging. True to her instincts, she begged most piteously to be excused, assuring the Mayor that she lived seven miles up the plank road, and would betake herself thither immediately.--She was admonished and discharged; and on reaching the door shouted, "Good-bye, Mr. Mayor, God bless you. I'm off for the country." The crowd laughed, of course.
