Williams of the 1st Virginia regiment, who was wounded in the battle at Williamsburg, and fell into the hands of the enemy because of our inability to remove him, was at the Hygeia Hotel on the 18th instant, and a few days thereafter was sent by the Yankees, together with some other of our wounded officers, to the Rip Raps — a place whose torrid horrors have been sufficiently ventilated by many of our brave lads, who have returned home, after being subjected to the torture of imprisonment there.
