A "Sell." --Rockland, Me., was in a ferment last Saturday week over the rumor that General Scott had been killed in a duel with Toombs. "The bells were tolled and the streets filled with excited people," who finally went home, laboring under the impression that a "sale" had taken place.
Election of Convention delegates. Milledgeville, Ga., Jan, 24. --The Convention elected Senator Toombs and Howell Cobb from the State at large, delegates to the Montgomery Convention, and the following district delegates; 1st Francis Barton; 2d.
