Mrs. Willard, of Troy, N. Y., is in Washington with a mammoth petition from the women of the country, to be presented to Congress, asking a settlement of the national difficulties. Hon. Geo. C. Crawford, who reported the Ordinance of Secession which was adopted by the Georgia Convention, was a member of Gen. Taylor's Cabinet.
