The Southern Confederacy tariff.
The following abridgement of the new tariff laws of the United States, adopted by the Provisional Congress of the Confederate States, is the most specific and useful compendium we have seen.
It may be well to remark (to prevent confusion) that the late United States Congress, just before its adjournment, revised and amended the tariff, but that the Confederacy tariff was adopted before that revision, and has no reference to it:
