Down the chimney. --On Saturday last, a little fellow named Ellis Levy, was playing on a projecting roof in a yard between 17th and 18th streets, south of Main, and undertook to perform some extraordinary feat, a la Blondin, on the chimney top, when he lost his balance, and down he went into the flue. The space was very much contracted, hence his down ward journey was accomplished something after the manner of a slide, and a landing effected at the bottom without personal injury. Here, however, the youngster found himself in a dilemma, the fire place having been bricked up, and he saw no method of extrication from his prison except through the agency of his lungs, which he used with good effect, making his situation known in a few minutes, and preparations were made for hauling him out, though some thought the better plan would be to knock down the masonry and take him through the wall.
