The Legislature.
The Senate, yesterday, agreed to the amendments adopted by the House to Senate joint resolution in regard to the removal of Federal troops and arms across the soil of Virginia.-- Messrs. Carter, Wickham, Marshall, Johnson, H. W. Thomas, Carraway, Stuart, McKinney and Townes, entered a written protest against the passage of the resolution, but the Senate refused to spread the same on its journal.
A substitute for the Covington and Ohio Railroad bill was agreed to.
The House agreed to Senate amendments to the General Appropriation Bill.
The bill imposing taxes for the support of Government was debated.
The House agreed to Senate joint resolution continuing the session till the 4th of April.
