mmitted in default of $380 bail. Remanded for beating his wife until this morning.--Robert Luice, (or Lewis,) committed on the charge of suspicion of murder. Defendant is suspected of having murdered a mulatto, named Mike Wright, in Anson county, N. C., on the 10th of February, 1860. He came into one of the military camps on Sunday, when he was taken in custody by parties conversant with the circumstances and handed over to the custody of the police. It is said that he killed a man named Williams, at Cheraw, S. C., and served out a term of imprisonment for the offence.
