Specie in France. --In 1849 the Paris mint coined 91,397,849 francs in gold, and 80,643,108 francs in silver. In 1859 the same establishment issued 53,225,816 francs in gold, and only 5,375,341 francs in silver. Gold pieces are now abundant in Paris, where silver coins are hardly to be had.
