The State interest. We learn that $383,925, the amount of interest on the Coupon debt of Virginia due on the 1st of January next, has been forwarded by the 2d Auditor of the State, Wm. A. Moncure, Esq, to the Bank of the State of New York. Thus we see that in spite of the financial difficulties of the times, the State of Virginia has promptly provided for the interest on her public debt. She has never yet been delinquent. Nevertheless, by some sort of strategy amongst the stock gamblers, her stock is lower in the market than that of States which, in, times past, for successive years failed to pay the interest on their stock.
