Proposed National Convention.--On motion, the resolutions offered yesterday by Mr. Armstrong were taken up; whereupon Mr. A. proposed to amend the last of the series by adding:
"And inviting the slaveholding States to appoint delegates to a Convention, to meet on the — day of--, at--, for the purpose of consultation, and of producing, concert of action among the Southern States."
On motion, the resolutions and amendments were laid upon the table for the present.
