Danville. --This patriotic little town, located near the dividing line between Virginia and North Carolina, has done nobly in the way of men and munitions during the present contest. In addition to three full companies, composed of gallant and true-hearted men already in the field, her public-spirited citizens have lately sent another company called the Cabell Guards, who will do honor to the neighborhood which contributed them. The members came mostly from Danville, though some of them were from the surrounding country.--The company has been in Camp Lee since its organization, and has made rapid strides towards attaining a thorough mastery of the "soldier's art." There are seventy men in the company, who have elected Joseph R. Cabell, Captain; F. G. Claiborne, 1st Lieutenant; Thos. M. Tyree, 2d Lieutenant; George H. Sutherlin, 3d Lieutenant.
