Beauregard's Address to the troops. --It is related of General Beauregard that, when dismounted from his horse, he addressed the troops in a few words before leading them to the charge: "Remember, soldiers, we are fighting for our Government, our liberty, our homes; We cannot afford to be defeated! Sumner than yield, you want die; and I have come to die with you, right here! Forward to the charge."
