From Manassas. Federal reconnaissance-capture of a schooner by the Hampton Legion, and its subsequent release. Manassas, Nov. 15, P. M. --The Federals are making reconnaissances, in large force, in front of our lines. Their pickets have appeared on the opposite side of Occoquan in considerable force and with artillery. A schooner was captured yesterday by a portion of the artillery corps of Hampton's Legion, but, being attacked by a large force of Yankees, with artillery, the little party that had the schooner in charge were compelled to abandon it, which they did after setting it on fire in several places.
Telegraphic Synopsis of Northern news. Revelations of a Lincoln spy — the effect of the Port Royal battle at the North-- the Maryland Legislature, &c. Manassas, Nov. 15, P. M. --The New York Herald of the 12th has been received here. --On its first page is a map of the city of Richmond and its surroundings, and nine or ten columns describing localities on the map, and without reading it, presume that it contains a full report of the defences of the city. The description purports to have been written by a correspondent of that paper, now, or at the time, in Richmond. The Herald gives the following names of the eleven vessels of the great fleet, which were disabled, ashore, or missing, from the effects of the gale: The Belvidere, Florida, Commodore Perry, Ethan Allen, D. Running the blockade. Wilmington, N. C., Nov. 15. --A schooner arrived here this morning from a foreign island with 4,600 bushels of salt and 71 barrels of sugar. She reports that there are no blockading vessels off the western bar this morning, but that there is one vessel off New Inlet.
Another attack upon Columbus apprehended. Columbus, Nov. 15. --This place is threatened with another formidable attack.
Yankee prisoner--Gens. Polk and Pillow Memphis, Nov. 15. --About 100 Yankee prisoners arrived here to-day. Gen. Polk is still suffering from the effects of the explosion of the Dahlgren gun at Columbus. Gen. Pillow has again interdicted the shipment of corn.
