light-house keepers prior to the act of Secession, was recommitted. Passports requested. On motion of Mr. Collier, the Speaker was directed to make out a list of members, officers, &c., of the House, and request the C. S. Secretary of War to furnish passports for them to leave the city. Bank Bills. Bill to authorize the Bank of the Commonwealth to issue notes of the denomination of $1 and $2, was taken up; and that and other bills on kindred subjects were, on motion of Mr. Robertson, of Richmond, made the order of the day for Tuesday next at 12 o'clock. Independent Volunteer companies. On motion of Mr. Flood, of Appomattox, a bill was taken up to place certain volunteer companies which have been in the service since February 10th, 1862, on the same footing as if they were in the Confederate service on or prior to that date, and to give credit to the counties furnishing the same in Virginia's quota of the Confederate army. The following decisions have been rendered by this Court since our last report: Wright vs. Godwin and others — argued by Arthur A. Morson for the appellant and R. T. Daniel for the appellees — upon an appeal from a decree pronounced by the Circuit Court of King and Queen county. Decree reversed, and cause remanded for further proceedings. Virginia Central Railroad vs. Winston — argued by James Lyons for the plaintiff and C. G. Griswold for the defendant — upon a writ of supersedeas to a judgment of the Circuit Court of Hanover. Judgment affirmed. Smith's administrator vs. Lloyd's executrix — argued by Francis L. Smith for the plaintiff, and Robert E.
