Confederate, States District Court. --This Court was engaged all day on yesterday, with the trial of John Richardson, alias John Richards, alias Louis Napoleon, indicted for uttering and possessing counterfeit notes of the Confederate States, knowing them to be forged. The Government was represented by Mr. District Attorney Aylett, the accused by Mr. John H. Gilmer. After hearing the evidence of many witnesses, and the elaborate arguments of counsel, the jury, after an absence of a few minutes, returned a verdict of "guilty," and the prisoner was removed by the Court to jail, for sentence hereafter.
