en at the office of the Provost Marshal, corner of 9th and Broad streets. It was taken off the fellow when examined in the office as a prisoner on Thursday evening. Prior to being captured Hasbrook received a ball from a pistol in the hands of Harry Howard, a Marylander in our ranks, but though striking over the region of the heart it hardly dented the plate. Howard was immediately shot from his horse by the prisoner, who felt emboldened, no doubt, by the immunity afforded him by his life-savince of the Provost Marshal, corner of 9th and Broad streets.
