Shot. --By an oversight, we omitted yesterday to state that a notorious desperado, named James Coyne, alias Patrick Finnoven, had been shot at and wounded at 12 o'clock on Monday night by Messrs. John King and John M. Goddin, citizens residing near the corner of Marshall and Madison streets. It appears that Coyne, alias Finnoven, had entered the residence of Mr. Thomas Barham, in the above vicinity, and stolen several hams of bacon and other articles, and retired in safety under Mr. Goddin's porch, to renew his depredations in the dwelling of that gentleman. Being alarmed, he attempted to disperse unceremoniously, but was brought down by well-directed pistol and gun discharges, one portion of which took effect in an arm and a hand, and another in that part of his person where mothers usually smite their young. Runaways --$20 reward.--Ran away from me on 12th and 13th instant, two negromen, John and Nat. The former has lately been engaged at the Confederate Stables on Bacon Quarter Branch, is stout, and quite likely. It is probable that he is lurking about some camp near the city. Nat is very tall and black; is owned in King and Queen county, where he is likely loitering. I will pay ten dollars apiece for the delivery of each or both to me. je 14--7t James M. Taylor.
