o return. He was sent to the Hustings Court for trial.--Wm. J. and J. Thomas Walker, the lads charged with robbing the canal boats Link, Jefferson, and J. H. Davis, of sundry articles of personal property, were examined, and it appearing that the crime had been committed in Goochland county, they were sent thither for trial.--Adolph Meyer, charged by Shadrack Corby with "taking some hay from a wagon," was brought up. Prisoner belongs to Cutts's battalion, and though some half-dozen willing witnesses appeared to testify against him, they could not make the act felonious. The sitting magistrate required him to give his own bond for his appearance on Wednesday, which he did — John Balso, Henry J. Morris and Thos. Murphy, summoned for huckstering in the Second Market, were not fined according to custom, but their supply of onions and apples was confiscated.--Mary Driscoll, arrested for threatening to kill Margaret Murphy, in default of security to keep the peace, was committed to jail.
