Arrested for forgery. --Officer James Polk, of the Provost Marshal's Detective corps, arrived in Richmond yesterday, after a two weeks sojourn in the South after certain offenders against the laws of the Confederacy, bringing with him a Frenchman named T. Bezoucon, arrested by him near Marietta, Georgia, for forging the names of sundry Captains to army pay-rolls and drawing the money thereon. Bezoucon was carried before Commissioner Watson yesterday, and committed to the city jail for examination. He is supposed to be connected with a gang regularly engaged in the business of fleecing the Government by forgery of the above kind.
