sburg, Dec.12. --The Express has the following particulars of the battle at Plymouth, obtained from an official dispatch to Gen. French. On Wednesday last, just before day, five companies of the 17th North Carolina troops and a squadron of Evans's cavalry, under command of Lieut. Col. Evans dashed into Plymouth, N. C., and drove the Abolitionists pell-mell from the place. We killed and wounded many, took twenty-five prisoners and seventy five negroes. Our troops being fired at from theLieut. Col.
