Stirring news from the Coast. --The Charleston Courier, of the 31st ult., learns that the enemy had landed in force on Seabrook's or John's Island. It is also reported that three gunboats and a number of transports were lying off the Island. It further says: This news was confirmed by passengers on the train from Savannah last night, who also stated that a skirmish had already taken place between our own and the enemy's pickets. It was added that we had taken three prisoners, two enemy were advancing. Gen. Hagood had ordered all females, children and non-combatants, to be removed from Adam's run, and quite a number arrived with their baggage on the afternoon train. Adam's run is about twelve miles distant from Seabrook's Island. We have not learned of any official report of an engagement, but there is scarcely a doubt that the enemy are moving in the direction indicated. We may have starting news to-day.
