Estimates for the support of the Government.
The Secretary of the Treasury has submitted to Congress his estimates of the appropriations necessary for the support of the Government from July 1st to December 31st, 1863, and last night they were passed by the House.
The estimates are as follows:

In looking over the estimates is detail we find some interesting statement of . To support one regiment of light artillery (10 companies) six months it costs $405,781. A regiment of cavalry for the same time costs $817,871; and a regiment of infantry for the same length of time costs .
