Held as a hostage. --Dr. James Green, a well known physician of Danville, Va., has been taken prisoner by the Yankees, and is held by them in close confinement at Fort Norfolk as a hostage for the notorious Dr. Wm. P. Rucker, now confined in a jail in the interior of the State, awaiting trial on a number of charges. Dr. Green is represented as an inoffensive, quiet, and gentlemanly man, while Rucker is a scoundrel whom desperate fortune has led to commit every sort of atrocity, from bridn, a well known physician of Danville, Va., has been taken prisoner by the Yankees, and is held by them in close confinement at Fort Norfolk as a hostage for the notorious Dr. Wm. P. Rucker, now confined in a jail in the interior of the State, awaiting trial on a number of charges.
