--On Wednesday night last, while Mr. George Sinton was sitting at O. A Streakers door, on Main street, waiting for a friend, he dropped off into a doze or sleep, and when he awoke he found that his gold watch had been removed from his pocket and his hat had disappeared. Having purchased the watch of Mr. E Kersey, Mr. S. apprised him of his loss as soon as he could do so. Yesterday morning two soldiers, who gave their names as John Bolton and James M. Perry, entered Mr. Kerseys store and offered the watch for sale. Mr. K., on examining the time piece, discovered it to be the identical one that he had sold Mr. Sinton, and there upon sent for officers Morris and Adams, and had the parties arrested. One of the men declared that he saw the other take the watch from the pocket of a dead Yankee on the battle field of Gettysburg but as Mr. Sluton then had it in his pocket, the tale is a very poor one for a defence. The prisoners will appear before the Mayor this morning for examination.
