Sentenced to the Penitentiary. --Wm. M. Garvy, some time since arrested and confined in jail in Pittsylvania county for breaking open a safe of the Southern Express Company and stealing therefrom a large sum of money, has recently been sentenced by the Court of that county to imprisonment in the penitentiary for two years. Garvy was employed at the time of the robbery, as messenger for that company, and accompanied their freight car between this city and Danville. Sentenced to the Penitentiary. --Wm. M.
