Continued. --Geo. W. Murray, whose case was continued from Thursday last, charged with taking two vests, two pairs of pants, and some other articles, which did not belong to him, made his appearance yesterday morning; but owing to the absence of the Mayor. Recorder Caskie declined to go into an examination, and continued the trial till the 31st, admitting Murray to bail in the sum of $300 to appear at that time. A New Arrangement.--Persons applying for passports now would do well to post themselves before entering as to their personal appearance, age, &c. An additional feature has recently been added to these cheap documents, and a general description of your person has to be appended thereto. About the men, we don't care how many questions are asked them, or how much trouble they are put to; but are glad to learn that Major Griswold, with his usual gallantry to the fair sex, has ordered a discontinuance of such inquiries of them.
