It is hardly possible, however, that a general fight can be delayed longer than to-day. The following official dispatch was received from Gen. Lee at the War Department yesterday: [official Dispatch.] Headq'rs Army of Northern Va., Via Orange C. H., Nov. 30th. To Gen. S. Cooper: No movement of importance by either army yesterday. Affairs on the Rapidan. Orange C. H., Nov. 30. --There was some skirmishing yesterday, and heavy cannonading for three hours this morning, and pretty heavy skirmishing during the day.--Beyond this, there is nothing definite. One hundred and twenty prisoners passed here en route for Richmond this evening. Gen. Wickham, of the cavalry, who has been for some time disabled by a fall from his horse, returned to duty to-day.
