[reports of the press Association.] entered according to act of Congress in the year 1863, by J. S. Thrasher, in the clerk's office of the District Court of the Confederate States for the Northern District of Georgia. From Charleston. Charleston, Feb. 2. --The enemy have discontinued firing on Sumter. One hundred and thirty-six shots have been fired at the city since our last report. The steamer Presto, Capt. Horsey, from Nassau, Jan. 29th, in attempting to run in about 2 o'clock this morning, got ashore on Sullivan's Island and remained immovable. Most of the cargo, which was on Government account, has been save in good condition. The enemy opened a heavy fire on the steamer at day light, and continued it all day. It is believed the vessel will be a total wreck.
