Cattle thieves. --On last Monday night, Dr. Thomas J. Turpin, residing in Powhatan county, about twenty-five miles from this city, had driven from his place, by some thieves, seven of his finest cattle. The Doctor on discovering his loss started in pursuit, and tracing out the tracks of the animals on the main road to this city, followed them up as far as the Manchester end of Mayo's Bridge, where he lost the trail of them.--There is no doubt but they crossed the bridge, and are at this time probably in the outskirts of the city.
