this court yesterday there was scarcely any business done. His Honor called over the dock, but deferred going into an investigation of the cases till another time. We give a list of the subjects and the time set for disposing of them: Patrick Madden and Hugh McGurdy were arrested on Tuesday evening, at the house of Timothy Barrett, on the charge of stealing a Government mule. Barrett was also taken into custody for receiving the animal, knowing him to have been stolen. The witnesses inearning that there was a mule marked "C. S." in Barrett's yard, who resides near the Old Market, procured the services of policeman Granger and searched the premises, which resulted in the discovery of the animal. --Being informed by Barrett that Madden and McGurdy brought him there, they were subsequently arrested on the charge of stealing.
