Senate bill supplemental to the law authorizing commanders of the reserves in each State to order general courts martial and to revise the proceedings of courts tial and military courtf the male slaves between the ages of eighteen and forty-five, in any State, shall be called for under the provisions of this act. '" The bill, as amended, was then passed by the following vote: Yeas.--Messrs. Brown, Burnett, Caperton, Henry, Hunter, Oldham, Semmes, Simms and Watson--9. Nays.--Messrs.
