The Baltimore American, of Tuesday, says: With the continued absence of any new cause of excitement public sentiment is now every day more strongly manifesting itself.--The revolution of last week has been followed by a counter-revolution, and the real position of the people of Baltimore is developing itself. It is stated that orders have been received from Washington to have the Star Spangled Banner displayed to-morrow from all the National buildings, including the Custom-House and Post-Office in this city.
