The 35th Georgia in the battle of "Seven Pines" To the Editors of the Dispatch: In your issue of the 11th instant, there appeared a brief notice of the part taken by General Pettigrew's brigade in the battle of the "Seven Pines," near the Chickahominy. I regretted when I read the article that the writer passed over the gallant conduct of the brigade with such general remarks. My object in writing at this date, is to do more justice to the gallant deeds performed on that eventful occasion, or at best, to bring into notice the conduct of the soldiers and officers of that regiment of the brigade with which I am best acquainted.--If I say little of the other regiments composing the brigade, and their officers, it is because I am not so familiar with the part they played in the grand drama of the day.
