The thieves in Lynchburg.
The city of Lynchburg is experiencing what Richmond has just been, in a measure, relieved from.
On Monday night, the store house of John Clements was robbed of $3,000 worth of goods, --The parties suspected of the robbery, who were arrested, were John O' Donell, John Doberly, John McClasky, Chas-C. Travis, and Mike Sullivan, all of whom are from New Orleans, and belonged to Whest's battalion.
On their persons when arrested were found bowie knives buttons, handkerchiefs, small articles which Mr. Clements recognized as his by his private mark.
The parties lodged in the cellar of a boarding-house, kept by a men named Murphy, which was searched and quantities of tobacco, calico, cotton cloth, boots and shoes were found.
In the stable of an Italian, near the same place, were found several boxes of tobacco and some other of the articles.
On Sunday night Matthew Wilson was garroted and robbed of $150, Wm. P. Brady, Martin Conaway, and Jno. Lipscomb — the l
