He is of brown complexion; about twenty-eight or thirty years of age; and five feet three inches high; and had on when committed, coat and pants of -mixed homespun, and a vest of black with metal buttons.
He says he was hired for the present year to Mr. Thomas Garrett, of Lynchburg.

She can read and write, and will probably try to make her way to the enemy's fines.
